A brand flag is one of the most consequential economic decisions for a hotel asset. For Hotel Sedona Resort & Spa, that flag is The Unbound Collection by Hyatt: independence, with a global engine behind it.
The collection
The Unbound Collection is designed for fiercely independent, upper-upscale and luxury hotels that maintain their unique identity, historic narrative, or architectural character. The value proposition for the property owner: the hotel keeps its singular name, design language and localized guest experience, while instantly accessing Hyatt's global distribution engine, corporate sales network and the high-yield World of Hyatt loyalty program.
The collection currently features 56 one-of-a-kind properties across four continents, with a robust pipeline concentrated in high-barrier-to-entry urban centers, historic conversions and elite leisure destinations. Its peers include The Driskill in Austin, Carmel Valley Ranch, the Chicago Athletic Association, Hôtel du Louvre in Paris and Hôtel Martinez in Cannes. The United States is its largest market, and Hotel Sedona Resort & Spa will join it as a flagship of red rock country.
The loyalty engine
- World of Hyatt membership expanded 18% year-over-year, reaching approximately 66 million members.
- Loyalty members now account for nearly half of all occupied rooms globally, a capture rate that keeps marketing costs low and shields owners from costly commissions to third-party online travel agencies.
- Hyatt itself spans more than 1,500 hotels and resorts across 83 countries, with approximately 375,000 rooms across 37 brands.
The day-one advantage
For the asset's owners and lenders, the flag translates into distribution, loyalty-driven occupancy, and reduced dependence on paid channels from the first night of operation.
